Santex Overview:
These products are comprised of blends of granular silicate and calcium carbonate and come primarily in slurry form packaged in 25kg buckets. They are decorative coatings that allow the creation of a range of different decorative patterns. In terms of strength, these are lifetime coatings that are incredibly durable lasting for many many years. Application is generally by trowel much like one would apply plaster followed by finishing with a float trowel, generating the various patterns designed into the products much like skimming but we'll do details later. These products contain a very large amount of various sized grains to give the decorative patterns. The blend of binders used to ensure durability is proprietary and based on materials from as far afield as Italy and Turkey.
